After a month of hard work, we are pleased to announce the new release of Desktop iCalendar. It adds support for syncing Yahoo! Calendar with Desktop iCalendar via CalDav protocol.

To add Yahoo! Calendar is quite easy, just follow below steps:

1. Right click the calendar select Manage Calendar…

2. Click “New…” button.

3. Select “CalDav Calendar” and click Next

4. Select “CalDav Calendar on Yahoo!” and click Next

5. Input your Yahoo! account info and the calendar name, click Finish to add the calendar.

To sync your iPhone calendar with Desktop iCalendar via Yahoo! is also very easy.

If you have the new iPhone 3.0 Firmware and have switched to the new Yahoo Calender via http://switch.calendar.yahoo.com you can add the calendar via Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Add Account -> Other ->Add CalDAV Account. Use caldav.calendar.yahoo.com as the server.(From Yahoo! Answers)

Yahoo! Calendar supports syncing To-do list, which is  better than Google Calendar. I do not know why Google keeps Task API as a secret. There is a feature request on Google   forum which has been 1 year now. More than hundred people asked Google to release Task API,  but nobody responds it.

    Hi,

let me thank you for this program :)

Looks great and what’s more important works like a clock without any issue on my Win 7 U 32b

There is option (in Manage calendars) for choosing color for different calenders, but I can’t see where is this used.
    Can someone point?

    Thanks

I am trying to sync my iphone with my yahoo desktop calendar. When I add events to my yahoo calendar it will sync with my iphone and add the event to my iphone calendar….however, when I add an event to my iphone calendar it does not show up on my yahoo desktop calendar. What do I need to do? Surely it was designed to work both ways or it would be useless.

    Thanks for any info.

  • Tracey

I have just downloaded your lite version of the calendar to try it. Whenever I add an event, it changes the time, e.g. I add something for 5pm and when I save, it changes the time to 4.40pm.

I’ve been using Desktop iCalendar for six months now and I love it! I use it everyday. My mom bought it too and now we share calendars.

My only wish: that the ToDo list would sync with google task too!! I’m especially longing for this now that I have a smartphone. Is there any hope for this?

    Great job on this program!

n the 90’s, I think most TV programs is the NBA game. From then on, I was deeply attracted by basketball the sport, I had my first idol” nonhuman Jordan Jordan” popular throughout the 90’s.. His style of play, his amazing jumping ability, and he can be equal to anything. Conquered every audience. Although today the Jordan Times has gone, but many of the classic games, and even Jordan perfect posture, still I can’t forget.

It’s safe to say that when you bring something to the table, they’ll be more likely to reciprocate.

Hi! First I want to say thanks for a great program!

    To answer Jason’s question(if it’s not already answered) :
Are you sure you’ve chosen the correct calendar to add events into when you use your iPhone calendar? The default is to store events locally.

Then a question to the developer: I would appreciate an option to choose if you want to see the period of an event or not.

Holloween is coming…Let’s explore the origins of Halloween with historian Nicholas Rogers, rewiew the mysterious memory of Holloween. It is well konwn that while “some folklorists have detected its origins in the Roman feast of Pomona, the goddess of fruits and seeds, or in the festival of the dead called Parentalia, it is more typically linked to the Celtic festival of Samhain, whose original spelling was Samuin (pronounced sow-an or sow-in)”. The name of the festival historically kept by the Gaels in the British isles is derived from Old Irish and means roughly “summer’s end”.
