This software has been so helpfull, but all what it needs is the browser option as in the PlainSight desktop calender, it helps giving some kind of perspective over one’s week

Use calendar applications to organize your time

In order to keep things in order, your busy schedule might need an improvement. For example i browse a lot of sites and test some software products I’m interested in, but for some reasons I forget, I don’t have time, I become lazy or someth…

For reasons of security and privacy, and I cannot keep my professional calendar on Google. However, the functionality of Desktop iCalendar is very nice. I wonder if you would consider allowing alternative locations to sync a particular calendar to. For me, Synching with a IBM Lotus Notes calendar system would be excellent. (Although I would be happy to have other public calendars update from Google. A third location would be calendars maintained by 37Signal.com’s BaseCamp application).

Also, I find it slightly awkward that I have to go to the Events widget, right click, and click on “Refresh” in order for recently added events to appear in the list. It would be nice if it refreshed automatically, or I had a setting to ask it to refresh automatically.

    Thank you,
    Bob

It would be nice if one of the settings for the Event widget was a list of Event/ToDo Types (from the choices of Business, Personal, etc.) to be displayed, and other types to not display — and if these sets could be given names. Then when I went to work, I would set up my filter to be only my work-related items (and I would like that to show up in both my Event window and my ToDo window); when I left work, I would set my filter to be only personal-related items (which would then show up in both my Event window and my ToDo window).

It would also be nice if when I hovered (my mouse pointer) over one of the items, if a balloon-style pop-up (without me clicking) could include some of the additional detail of the event (for example, I often want to see the where section, which shows a conference room number or a teleconference dial-in number). As soon as I moved my mouse away, the balloon would dissolve away.

I am probably too unsophisticated a user of Google Calendar, but I wish there was a way for me to flag an entry as “tentative”, and then for that status to somehow appear in the iCalendar Event view.

Is it the intended behavior that an event which was not given an event type when it was created, does not appear in the Event list? In fact, I think it just “disappears”.

Someday, my laptops will be connected to the network no matter where they are, but that’s not the situation today. Therefore, adding a simple Find… menu where I could type in a keyword, and it would pop-up the first Event or ToDo that includes that word would be great… A smarter Find… that allowed me to ask to find All… or find All Today and Past… or Find All Today and Future… or Find Next… would be even better.

hard to believe there is such a lack of information on this. It says you can get your google calendar on the desktop but the only instructions are go to this menu and follow the wizard which doesn’t give any instructions. Boo

Is it just me or is there a bug in the time synchronization? Event dialog shows all events 1 hour off from what my google calendar would show. I checked the timezone settings on both my machine and google calendar and they are set correctly.

I purchased Desktop Icalendar, but it never sync with my Google Calendar. I’ve tried entering the Username with and without the gmail.com domain, but none of my Google Calendar Evetns are on my Desktop Icalendar. Am I missing something? Is there a log to tell me what went wrong?

    thanks

I agree with Bob Schloss, a balloon-style pop-up (without clicking on a date) that showed details of that day’s events would be VERY handy.

It would also be good if the day/month/events displayed could automatically return to the current day/month/events rather than staying on which ever day/month you last clicked on.

Otherwise this is a GREAT product – I’ve been trying to find a desktop calendar with all this functionality for months. I’ve tried lots of other solutions, but Desktop iClaendar beats all the rest.
    Great works, guys!

Is it possible to display the time in 24-hour format? Also, if I uncheck the “Sunday is the first day of the week”-box, nothing happens. I want monday to be the first day of the week.

Where’s support? Product only pulls google calendar, no push! Calendar disappears when clicking desktop. What a waste of $. Aother example of a great idea, but poor support and execution.

Is there support? I can’t find it and it says I should be able to sync to igoggle and I always get errors about not being able to open a file. PLus when I try to view on another desktop it doesn’t work.

It is a great idea if I can figure out how to make it all work like it says.
