PlainSight Desktop Calendar 2.4.1

calendar iconWith PlainSight Desktop Calendar 2.4.1, you can select different message stores in Outlook. And it improves the way to detect the data state of  Outlook. When  you add or modify an  appointment with Outlook, it will refresh itself automatically.

We also changed the format of the appointments displayed. The start date is placed in front of the subject. It is easier to read than before.

why is time displayed in 24 hour format and not 12 hour format?

ie. 17:30 in lieu of 5:30

  3. Markon 06 Nov 2007 at 11:51 pm

    To Horibol,

Yes. It will popup a reminder window when you set the reminder in Outlook.

    To Charles,

The time format is fixed already.

where can I get help. I have outlook 2007 and the calendar will not come up. I keep getting an error

What a pity you did this. I loved the former edition. Only regretted the language could not be changed. Now we are faced with am and pm which is nice for people in the United States and the UK but not not for the rest of the world, As soon as you change this format in a 24hrs display (which I could not find in the settings area and I really hoped I overlooked something) I will buy the version and if you can add an option to change the language (dutch for instance….. :) ) then you are the greatest for the basics of the program are OK!!!

    To Krish,

t seems to be a vista security thing. Please try to change the
calendar to “run as administrator” in properties-compatibility (right click on exe file) .

    To Rita,

My email address is master@desksware.com. Please tell me what the error was. I’ll try my best to solve the issue.

What about support for more than 14 days of appointments or 30 tasks.

  11. Markon 19 Jan 2008 at 1:59 pm

Can you make some option to display 24 hours of 12 hours time? Wout has right – the rest of the world (execp US and UK) is using 24 hours time format. And another problem – my tasks from Outlook 2007 (under XP Home) didn’t show in task box.

I just found out about this program. Am using Desktask atm but looking for something with a bit more options, thats where this program comes in. Everything seems to work perfect but I’m still not satisfied: The appointments ( “today) are not updating automaticially where Desktask does update it.

Any word about a possible fix>

Use calendar applications to organize your time

In order to keep things in order, your busy schedule might need an improvement. For example i browse a lot of sites and test some software products I’m interested in, but for some reasons I forget, I don’t have time, I become lazy or someth…

I am so frustrated. I paid for Plainsight desktop calendar. I got my key code. I downloaded program but when I open it, all I get is the same window with 4 buttons: quit/order/register/ try. I am going around in a vicious circle.
master@desksware.com is an e-mail address that leads nowhere:it is rejected.

I have been using Plainsight Calendar just fine with Outlook 2000. I upgraded to Outlook 2003 SP3 and now I get an error when I try to start the calendar. The error is:

Access violation at address 35F7F31A in module ‘MSMAPI32.DLL’. Read address 00000000

  21. Chuckon 16 Jul 2008 at 6:07 am

Looks like there is no support for this calendar. Just bought it a month ago and now that I have an issue there is no response. I have sent email to master@desksware.com – no answer.

    Buyer beware.

  22. Chuckon 21 Jul 2008 at 6:02 am

I sent another email concerning my problem with Plainsight calendar above and I received a quick response. Perhaps the first email was not received.

    My problem has been solved.

    Thanks,

    Installed PSDC 2.4.4.6

    In vista OS

I can’t start outlook it says it is in use when PSDC is running
once I close PSDC I can then open outlook.

Messages from outlook when PSDC is running

“Cannot display the folder. The file C:\Users\foldername\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst is in use and cannot be accessed. Close any application that is using this file, and then try again. You might need to restart your computer.”

    Any solution to this

    Thanks
    Rich
